You know why I'm glad I left the rat race far behind? Because I realized that is not what makes me happy - a lot of ppl in our culture spend their entire lives chasing after things like money, career, big cars, big prestige - these are not bad things per se but I've also seen ppl in their old age regret not spending or having the time to do things that actually mattered....regret is terrible - especially in old age and what amazes me is ppl so conveniently set aside old age or dying as something so far off that it won't happen to them or that they will be ready for it when it happens

I know I'm rambling but you know, that's why I try to live a life of no regrets while at the same time preparing for a time when I look back at my life and be content that I have very few regrets, if any
