By far, the most troubling part of my night’s rest is the intermittent waking and difficulty returning to sleep. The slightest noise or temperature change will wake me, and then the random thoughts start. I have trouble turning my mind off, and frequently think about unnecessary things that seem incredibly important in the moment such as, “Did I water the outside flowers?”

You could be talking about me, Jill. Lovely article and thanks for suggesting natural options to get a good night's sleep. Someone I know use ocean/whale sounds....I'd rather go with rain sounds myself :)
