You are right - when I was a new writer, I would read some yesteryear journalist harping about what writing is and how many of us weren't 'writing' (according to them) - I already have an issue calling myself a writer (prefer blogger) -but that post was not a confidence builder and that person still lurks around ready to pounce on an unwary writer (new and old)
