While reading this there were a couple of qns on my mind - do you think you would have been a feminist if not for your experiences?

My mom is a feminist, a career woman in a patriarchial society where all other women in her husband's family were keeping home - but she raised me the opp probably because she felt it safer that way

I still have to unpack that one

Secondly I also feel a woman should be financially independent even within a partnership - things have changed as in what seems like a loving partnership can turn bitter overnight leading to vanishing funds or expensive divorces -

I am hoping the new gens are more aware and financially savvy - your 'friend' takes the cake with the love is money thing going on
