When I started on Medium a year ago I thought joining an engagement group was the way to go or at least that was what some gurus were touting - my experience with one such group was hugely disappointing - it was just a dumping ground for articles - I doubt any one 'made it' in that particular group - that awful experience has kept me away but yes, this post might just help me revisit that
