This was a beautiful read and deeply moving because a lot of what you wrote about is what I am in the process of discovering...it made me emotional too...maybe because it is good to know I'm not alone in this...

In my case I would say I waited so long to start this self discovery journey because I come from a conservative culture where freedom to do what you want (for girls) or access to mental health resources were largely absent or there was difficulty accessing them due to stigma - I certainly hope things are changing for the better now
