This reminds me of my home country - things had gotten so bad to a point where ppl were outright denied treatment in good (private) hospitals without putting up the money upfront - it is sad how profit overrules human life/suffering - I wish I could say things have changed much but no, however, more ppl are taking up health insurance which is a good sign - over here they will treat you and then send you a bill after saving your life - the amount would probably put you right bacl in the hospital
