This post resonated - not in a good way and I'll explain why - each time my parents moved countries I had to pick up the language spoken or face something similar (only more insulting/derogatory/innuendo) because for some reason ppl would find it fun to say something to the newbie in the native tongue and say something completely different when they give the English translation -
