This is an important point where I find blogging and story writing to be different (am still learning lol) - for example the opening sentence in a novel is what usually makes me want to read (it is that cut & dry for me) - with blogging I don't necessarily start with a hook - the idea is to keep the reader engaged for that entire 3-5 minute post -
