Something along these lines happened to me this past weekend and it pretty much ruined my weekend for me - in my culture, which is quite conservative and narrow minded, the older gen think they know best despite the mistakes they made - nevertheless they want to you to obey and get upset when they find you have strong opinions of your own which does not align with theirs

I trust my instincts - it hasn't let me down yet
