Quite honestly a sense of humor in writing is something a writer naturally has or doesn't - at least in my opinion - one can try but the most is a perfunctory smile - that I don't think is very helpful - I know a few humor writers who are so naturally talented that I start laughing from the first line onwards - there are others who try so hard and yet I can't make heads nor tails of what exactly is going on - but then this is just a personal opinion
