… dinner table is aromatic, wood-aged, sweeter and less acidic than other vinegars; in another vein, the word balsam has connotations of smoothness and healing properties, and also describes a phase of resting or waning within the lunar cycle. Who knew? I love when a metaphor invades my poetry. Ah, cheers to sweet, acidic love.
