New Writers Take Heart: You Are Not the Only Ones Facing Challenges

So what do you do when the going gets tough?

In a recent content strategizing session, one of the other bloggers on my Content Writing team asked me what steps I use to build my brand on Medium.

I could have impressed them with a step-by-step guide but instead, I chose to tell them the simple truth which is👇

I didn’t find my audience — they found me.

But yes, it is also true I do a whole lot of clapping, commenting, and promoting other writers’ works (on both my Twitter and through my Life column on Coffee Times)and am also a loyal follower.

That helps too.

I regularly come across articles from new writers who complain about challenges they face like gaining the first 100 followers and not being able to get views for their posts.

It’s hard, no doubt. But I would add that it’s the same for many writers, both experienced and newbies.

You may be thinking that it’s easy for me to say — considering.

Not really.
