My plan is simple - while ppl in my culture tend to put status forefront as in showy houses and flashy cars to show they've arrived - I go in the opp direction - I save and invest - in this era of SIP that is relatively easy for ppl of all ages and incomes - I hope to retire earlier than most but that too is strategic as I plan to go to a country where the cost of living is lower than the US - from there onwards it will be more of a SWP

At least that's the long term plan
