My parents moved across 3 continents when I was younger for work related purposes so I had no say in the matter - just did the best I could trying to figure out the new school, culture, language etc - I have learned not to attach sentiments to material things - home, furniture, garden - there is just too much hurt involved when you get attached to things like that - I know it is kind of sad but at the same time I would put greater emphasis on me being comfortable with how I am with my new surroundings and doing the little things I can so it feels like home - but if I were to pick one that will always be home in my heart, it will always be the one in South Africa - lots of happy memories 😊
