I agree - one cannot understand the real Africa unless you have really lived there and by that I don't mean the touristy thing

When ppl don't have enough to eat, running water or heat to warm their houses then how are they supposed to take care of pets?

It's not just that, I was stunned when someone here got offended when I said back in Africa pets got fed leftover food - it is like they think that is animal cruelty but they have no idea whatsoever
