Listening to and honoring elders is part & parcel of my culture - if only I had the freedom to think for myself when I was younger! But no - a good girl obeys her parents and never questions their decisions - if they turn out to be wrong decisions, well, it is either your fault or fate -

At least I have the freedom to think, choose and do on y own now
