I’ve heard iambic pentameter with regards to Shakespeare’s plays…

Ottava rima is a late thirteenth century Italian stanza of eight lines with an abababcc rhyme scheme, In English they are most commonly written in iambic pentameter. Was the standard form for epic and narrative verse. Can be a stand alone poem.
