It's funny I had a similar moment recently - in my culture, it sometimes feels like everything is about prestige and money - it's rarely about the individual - as in their other qualities

I was telling the other person that to me there are somethings more important in life...tbh it was only when I took myself out of the rat race that I was able to learn more about myself - what seemed important earlier don't even make my list of priorities any more
