It was only after coming to the US that I discovered the mindset is so much more diff and open minded than the culture I came from - here it is okay to try diff subjects in the first couple of years of undergrad before settling on one that fits you - many students come in thinking they want to do something or have no idea what they want to do, then they try different subjects and usually end up with something new and which aligns with their interest/passion - and yes it is okay to fail as long as we get right back up and try again :)
