It was much harder when I was married because we attended a lot of functions - not easy for an introvert - imagine sitting through hours of mind numbing conversation just to fit in and be part of a social circle - I still don't know how to do it - no wonder ppl need a drink or two to steady their nerves - it can be overwhelming
