It is understandable - for example I come from a family of academics who rely more on the knowledge gleaned from books which they liberally apply to everything and also view everything, including relationships (hehe couldn't avoid mentioning my fave topic) through those lens - it does work that way - not really - at the end of the day people will do what they want to do - what makes them happy or gives them pleasure etc even tho it may not be the best choices - as they say you can only control you not others - that's what I try to do - not always successful tho :)
