It is not just here but in the countries where I grew up and where I'm originally from, police are viewed with suspicion and fear - so for the longest time this fear was instilled in me especially during childhood - it is slowly changing - now when I see them go out of their way to assist to help a driver or person in need, I still have a difficult time reconciling it with the image I have been brought up with
