Indeed - I still remember BlockBuster from when I first came to the US - it was quite the thing - we used to rent movies to watch over the weekends - there were also stores that catered to movies from my native country - but as you mentioned they were there one day and gone in a blink of the eye - now I just watch Netflix (on and off subscriber cuz it does get boring after a while)
