In the olden days, ppl had kids because disease was rampant and only a few survived childhood and yes they also needed the extra hands to work on the farms - now it is not the case and yet as soon as you get married, the questions begin. The pressure is ten fold in certain cultures like mine and heaven forbid the woman is unable to bear children (as if it is her fault) - and the ostracism if you choose not to have kids

I could go on and on about this topic and it is not because I am against kids - it is just the unfairness of the pressure to have kids -
