I write on a couple of platforms - two have algorithms and one doesn't - I thought the one without an algorithm would be easier but it is the most competitive

I've achieved a modicum of success on all 3 in terms of readership

what I've realized is that at the end of the day, readers will read what they want to read - I'd like to believe in quality but there are many success stories of those publishing in quantity so I would say it comes down to what your goals are as a writer and what makes you happy
