I would say it sometimes takes a certain amount of maturity and self awareness not to mention the courage to be willing to embark on a self discovery/reflection to be able to embrace authenticity - sometimes it is easier to follow than look into ourselves - or ponder upon why we are the way we are - some just cannot face the reality
