I would say it is the same on this platform as well - it gives new writers the wrong impression - that you can make a whole lot of money in no time which is hardly ever the case - but ppl will believe what they want to believe

I personally know some pretty successful ppl - as you said, only those who have been directly involved in the journey have an inkling of the blood sweat and tears that went into the final product - I doubt it is a feat (as in unrelenting hard work) that many can achieve
