I would say in certain cultures, parents or grandparents didn't think long term or perhaps tradition trumped practical reasons when it comes to naming - this becomes tricky when you have to travel abroad and go through all the hoops of the visa process/residency/citizenship

For example, in my culture, there is a family name - sometimes the father's name comes first and even the village they hail from

The pronunciation and meaning is a whole diff ballgame - but it can be done

So yes, totally relatable post - I think your name is unique
