I work in the adult literacy sphere (voluntary basis) where I teach immigrants ESOL and help them acclimate to the new culture - it has been a fulfilling job where I got to learn interesting things about other cultures

one of the biggest barrier is the accent - and the sad thing is some people hereabouts are determined on pretending not to understand English that is not spoken in an American accent
