I was recently in a conversation with someone from Cornell - we were discussing the number of mindboggling pre requisites one must take that has no bearing on the actual major and how some find it very boring and unhelpful - but this person said she was happy to have explored all of that including mandatory swim class - it gave her a wide exposure to subjects she would have otherwise did not have

I, on the other hand conveniently forgot everything pertaining to my major and went a completely diff route 😆
