I think we can all relate to this - it is even worse for women I would say who may not be encouraged to invest at a young age or taught to be financially literate - many of my married friends have no clue about finances and leave it all to the men - and it is funny that the men view shares etc as risky investment

I am of the belief that a steady income is not enough these days - you need other sources of income coming in - investing long term is a good way of ensuring a good retirement - I personally prefer a diversified portfolio and it is always good to start young by setting aside some money for it
