I remember our neighbors in Nigeria - the girl was maybe in her teens and she did a lot of work in the house - she would also kneel each time she spoke to her mom/lady of the house - is that form of respect for elders still practiced?

The neighbors who lived on the other side were more westernized - they travelled a lot and did not stick to tradition - where does Lagos, being a big city, stand on this?
