I like to get quick responses but that is my preference and that doesn't mean others would want to do the same...it can get annoying

Having said that, sometimes I am slow in responding mostly because I don't think the text requires a response...sometimes it is best to wait rather than respond in the heat of the moment

But I agree, when it comes to an invite, it's best to respond in a timely manner as the host needs it for planning purposes
