I know some rich people who were very unhappy in their marriages - I also know of people in arranged marriages who regret marrying someone they didn't marry for love and who had many issues that were hidden until after marriage -

I am financially independent and I think having a partner who is the same puts us on the same footing - that way there is less of a power struggle as is bound to happen if one partner is successful -I would also choose love over arranged because marriage is not on my mind
