I have not heard of this village but am familiar with kasavu saris :) I believe there is a handloom weaving place in Thrissur area where I have family - have you been to that one?

Earlier it used to be so hard to obtain saris simply because one had to travel in order to purchase it and those that were brought by other travelers didn't necessarily meet one's tastes - but thanks to online shopping, all these are readily available!
