I have heard of pongala but I did not know much about it so this was a delight to read!

I am familiar that only females of a certain age are allowed to make the trip to Sabarimala so it is interesting to know that this festival is also known as Sabarimala for women

I found the making of the porridge in the mud pot, the rituals that follow and most of all that it is open to all women irrespective of caste, creed or religion to be amazing
