I had to read this article because I had an annoying experience on an international flight recently - I always book a seat ahead of time because I have a preference - however, when a mother/daughter come and ask really nicely, I didn't have it in me to say no - then where do I get assigned? Next to the crankiest woman I've ever came across who kept complaining in a language I didn't understand - finally I got moved to a middle seat next to a little kid -
