I grew up in a culture where you were supposed to be good and not question what elders said - just because they said something was so and so - I feel it is coming more from a place of control rather than factual knowledge - it created a lot of problems for women of my gen and the previous gens because we weren't allowed to think for ourselves (at least when we were younger) - now I pretty much do what I want to based on what I know/learned - not what somebody told me -
