I feel like kids these days prefer watching short insta stuff - certainly not something long and winding that make them have to reach for a dictionary -

We didn't have libraries or even book stores in the town I grew up in South Africa but my mother encouraged my reading habit by purchasing books for me whenever she traveled - I still read a lot today and I'm a writer in a language that is not my native language, then it is thanks to all the books I have read 💚
