I doubt it would have gone well if the waitress had confronted the family - that's because there is a high chance they think they're doing nothing wrong and anyways paying for their meal so what is the issue -

I agree, I go to a restaurant to relax, enjoy the food and company - it is a much needed break for me from work and such and I am not looking to any unpleasantness that may put me off frequenting my fave spots -

again I see a lot of behaviors dictated by TikTok and Netflix shows - I guess it is being accepted as the norm -
