I do okay with writing as a hobby - it provides a nice side income - but when a friend suggested I look into it full time, I balked...

My biggest issue is the variable income - you may make a pile in one month but not so much the next - but the diff is the rent/bills still need to be paid...so...

ANd no, even as a hobby there are no 4 hour work weeks ( I have very little time for a social life)
