I completely agree - sometimes ppl confuse ppl pleasing and kindness - I guess it has become interchangeable these days when it is all about me me me - sorry but I digress (as usual)

But yes, I can certainly see that ppl will respect you more even tho they maybe initially a bit upset with your boundaries and expressing how you feel
