I can give you feedback based on my experience - I wrote my first article here based on the recommendation of a friend from my mental support group - I was just happy to find the courage to hit publish - I did not sign up for the MPP the first couple of months because I wanted to learn how to write (barring academic related essays specializing in data I had no experience writing) - the thing is if you start with low expectations, there is no fear of disappointment and you keep going - my audience discovered me three months in (I don't mean number of followers which I don't give much weightage to) - I write mostly about my experiences
