I am sorry to hear this and wish I could say I'm shocked but am not

A friend who is quite popular had a surgery that required her to be confined to bed for a couple of weeks - despite having a huge friend circle, barely anyone came to visit except for the obligatory phone calls - she was hurt because I believe she was expecting the same kind of attn as when she was vibrant & healthy

There are very few ppl I count on simply because I too have been hurt by so called friends - don't need superficiality at this point in my life
