I am someone who is still on a learning curve as far as writing is concerned so am eager to learn - it helps me improve my craft - in fact I credit whereever I am now to editors who have been kind enough to guide me -

However, I don't get why some tend to act so uppity about the whole thing - I mean I am not a professional writer and I have a demanding job elsewhere so how would they feel if they came to my job as a newbie and I rudely edited whatever they came up with? What would that do to their confidence?
