I agree with you. I started in Feb of this year on Medium and one thing I've learned is that followers matter. But not followers who just follow to get followed back but those of us who actually take the time to interact.

Quality articles & engagement boosts views and articles get further exposure and if making money is the goal, then you have that too :)
