Writing is a hobby and putting words on paper gives me a lot of joy and is therapeutic as well - at the same time if my goals were diff I might consider AI assistance because all I need to do is feed it a prompt and voila - then I publish it and wait for the earnings to roll in - really very little to actually do on my part

Yes, as an editor for a few pubs, I am familiar with these types of stories - after a while it is fairly easy to spot these kind of articles - in my opinion they are not going away but on the contrary might only increase - so we coexist perhaps - as in we do our thing and they do theirs - in a completely diff perspective there are also many writers who sound AI assisted without actually using any AI - that is because they spend little or no time working on their craft - so yea, on that account I would say anyone can write but it takes talent and lot of practice to actually be able to write compelling stuff...lol sorry for the essay in the comments but yea your article inspired me to write this :)
