I actually had a conversation along similar lines with a friend - the topic was how self obsessed ppl have become - it is scary about how "I," "me" "my" has taken precedence over everything else in the sense it is all about me (the person) and everybody else be damned - I see this trend especially on social media and I think that sends a message of entitlement vs being mindful of others in addition to ourselves
