Hi Linda, I hear you - I started writing on Medium a year ago and eventually decided to write across a variety of topics and for some of the bigger pubs in order to build a portfolio - eventually I got approached by two clients to blog for their websites - I have written about it - a freelancing career is possible but yes a solid resume is key as well as networking.
